Social History Happy Hour and ALS Northwest Fundraiser
Saturday May 16 | 7-8 pmdoors open at 6:30
The Noble Spirit (34 minutes)
Fred Noble was an adventure sports legend in Oregon for more than 4 decades. A great backcountry skier, he was featured in three Warren Miller films and served as the Master of Ceremonies for eight premieres of new Warren Miller films in Portland. A fixture on Mt Hood, he skied at Mt Hood Meadows on opening day in 1968. He was the North American Sales agent for CMH (Canadian Mountain Holidays), world’s leading helicopter ski operation. He shredded powder with some of the best skiers on the planet and introduced thousands of people to the thrill of heli-skiing. Fred was diagnosed with ALS in 2010 and passed away in 2014.
In honor of ALS Awareness Month, join us for an evening dedicated to Fred’s life and legacy. Join us for stories from close friends and a presentation of the documentary of his life, battle with ALS, and his never ending Noble Spirit.
Minimum Admission $10
We encourage guests to contribute beyond the minimum in support of the cause.
All proceeds from admission and beverage sales will be donated directly to ALS Northwest
to fund local patient support and ALS research.
